This small Japanese saw consists of a long metal saw blade with a red plastic handle. A Japanese saw allows you to make the sawing movement by pulling, while with our traditional saws you do the opposite by pushing. That is why Japanese saws are also called 'pull saws'. A pull saw has a slightly thinner blade than a regular hand saw, therefore it has a narrower saw cut and is less heavy to saw with. Our pull saw is equipped with very fine teeth on one side of the saw blade for a thin, precise saw cut, and on the other side of the saw blade, with slightly coarser hardened teeth for less fine work. These qualities make this Japanese saw a very practical, manageable saw for children. Please note: these are real child-sized tools, only to be used under adult supervision. We therefore strongly recommend using our child safety gloves when sawing. The saw blade has a length of 15 cm and is only 0.4 mm thick. The total length of the saw is 30 cm.
